Kiosk
The kiosk conveys a users safely stored container from the underground sled location to the user when released by using the app with proper security protocols.
Kiosks come in various sizes depending on the maximum size of standardized container it handles. Community or personal kiosks are designed to convey 80% of all goods that are carried by BEAM. For oversized containers larger local kiosks will be provided at strategic locations so that walking distances are as short as possible.
When a shipment is ready a BEAM user requests an appropriately sized standard container which is then delivered to their kiosk. When the container is loaded and placed back into the kiosk, the user simply hits the GO button on the App and the container is on its way to its preprogrammed destination.
containers
- Containers have retractable handles and are designed to be carriable. Larger containers are designed with wheels and a handle so that large items can be easily moved from larger kiosks to the home or office. Once emptied, the containers are returned to the kiosk for rapid automatic sterilization and readied for the next use. Each standardized container comes with advanced features to enable automation, easy handling and tracking.
- Automation enabled rail guide system for transfer and handling
- QR and radio frequency identification for container tracking
- Rugged polymer construction which doubles as a carrying container for customers
